How did you get involved with roller derby?: Honestly, I just heard about it and thought, "I should do that!". I mentioned it to a friend that knew about a league nearby and I jumped on in.

How did you choose your derby name?: It's a play on the Shim Sham, which is a swing dance routine, and according to Urban Dictionary, it means to beat someone with a blunt object.

Pre-Derby Sports Background: I played basketball growing up, then 5 seasons of Rugby in high school
